SUMMARY:Media Consultation: Ecumenical Advocacy Days
DESCRIPTION:Ecumenical Advocacy Days (EAD) is a movement of the ecumenical Christian community\, and its recognized partners and allies\, grounded in biblical witness and our shared traditions of justice\, peace and the integrity of creation. Our goal\, through worship\, theological reflection and opportunities for learning and witness\, is to strengthen our Christian voice and to mobilize for advocacy on a wide variety of U.S. domestic and international policy issues. \nEach year hundreds of Christian advocates come to Washington\, D.C. to be educated and become skilled to be effective in legislative lobbying and related activities and participate EAD’s annual Congressional Advocacy Day. The theme of this year’s National Gathering is “Lift Every Voice! Racism\, Class and Power.” \nAs part of the team of Perisphere Media\, EAD is one of the organizations in my portfolio of service\, providing communication strategy\, as well as website\, social media and project management for activities leading up to and following this annual event. Prior to my involvement with Perisphere Media\, I have also served as a worship and advocacy consultant for EAD and so\, am both personally and professionally committed to its success. \nFor the days of the event\, I will be part of the on-site Perisphere Media team providing A/V technical consulting for all plenary addresses and events\, working closely with EAD leadership and speakers in providing logistical support\, overseeing website and social media activities throughout the weekend\, and leading a workshop on Running A Digital Campaign\, as part of EAD’s “Advocacy Skills Training” workshops.
