Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition

I have served in a part-time capacity as the Grants Manager for the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition (CPMC). The organization promotes ministry to all people affected by incarceration and detention, rooted in a Catholic pastoral care framework. It offers a wide array of services in support of lay ministers and clergy involved in this work. CPMC facilities trainings for those entering this ministry as volunteers. It resources those in the field professionally through webinars and other digital education and advocacy opportunities, and encourages broader education of Catholics in support of these ministries and in efforts to foster criminal legal reform and a framework of rehabilitation, reconciliation and restoration with the U.S. prison systems.

My work with the organization involves researching, applying for, tracking and reporting on grants to support initiatives of the organization. To date, I have written grants or follow up on opportunities that have resulted in awards of over $35,000 for the organization with $137,000 in pending decisions. I am a member of the organization’s Executive Committee.
