Saint Luke Institute

In early 2024, Dr. Marc DelMonico announced that he has been named Director of Education and Communications for Saint Luke Institute. The appointment was made by Institute President Father James Garvey, O.Praem., D.Min. Dr. DelMonico took up the role on February 12, joining the Institute’s Leadership Team.

Saint Luke Institute is an independent, international Catholic education and treatment center dedicated to healthy life and ministry for priests, deacons, and religious. The Institute also offers resources for Catholic clergy, religious and lay leadership designed by experts in psychological and spiritual health through SLIconnect, a related online portal coordinating an array of webinars and digital educational offerings, promoting in-person events led by vetted experts, and academic and ministerial articles on timely topics at the intersection of psychology and ministry. The goal of all of these offerings is to provide the People of God with ministers who are psychologically and spiritually prepared for their roles of leadership and service and possess the skills to minister according to the model and teachings of Jesus and the Gospels. In the Director role, Dr. DelMonico will strategize and oversee efforts to build upon the strong educational work of the Institute, and to promote its core outpatient clinical work.

Dr. DelMonico has joined an internationally respected team at the Saint Luke Institute. Together, the leadership team, administrative team, clinical team and spiritual team provide mental health treatment, offer education and wellness programs, and conduct research. In these services, they integrate high-quality spiritual, psychological, theological and other resources. The organization’s main office is located outside of Washington, D.C. in Silver Spring, Maryland, with clinical offices in Timonium, Md., Louisville, Kentucky, and one in Manchester, United Kingdom.
