Association of Graduate Programs in Ministry (AGPIM) 2025 Annual Conference (Tampa, Florida)

February 27 - March 2

Dr. DelMonico will be participating in the annual conference of AGPIM, representing Saint Luke Institute, where he serves in an educational leadership role. AGPIM is an organization of educators, theologians and administrators representing Roman Catholic institutions that offer graduate programs in ministry which prepare students for various areas of leadership service to the Church including parish and family life, pastoral care, and religious education. Dr. DelMonico’s prior work with AGPIM in his role supporting lay ministry at the USCCB was recognized in an essay in Transforming Ministry Formation, a 2021 book published by Paulist Press, featuring essays on the contributions of the leaders and programs of AGPIM to the preparation and training of lay ministers in the Catholic Church.

AGPIM is in the process of producing a second volume to be published in 2025, which will feature an article by Dr. DelMonico, discussing national lay ministry efforts in the wake of the acute phase of the Covid-19 pandemic.

The theme of this year’s AGPIM gathering is “Ministry Formation in a Less Religious Landscape.”
