National Association of Catholic Chaplains Conference 2022
August 18 - August 22
The National Association of Catholic Chaplains advocates for the profession of spiritual care and educates, certifies, and supports chaplains, clinical pastoral educators, and all members who continue the healing ministry of Jesus in the name of the Church.
I am pleased to be joining the organization at their in-person conference in Buffalo, New York, gathered around the theme of “Stretched by Life, Lifted by Faith.”
I will be part of a panel workshop discussing NACC’s recently updated health care chaplain competencies which I resourced and assisted in the approval of through the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB). We will also be discussing NACC’s supportive role with the Catholic Prison Ministries Coalition and the development and USCCB approval of new competencies for the training and formation of prison ministers and Catholic prison chaplains.
