Date: 2008-2019; limited engagements in 2020-2023
Ecumenical Advocacy Days is a movement of the ecumenical Christian community, and its recognized partners and allies, grounded in biblical witness and our shared traditions of justice, peace and the integrity of creation. Their goal, through worship, theological reflection and opportunities for learning and witness, is to strengthen our Christian voice and to mobilize for advocacy on a wide variety of U.S. domestic and international policy issues. Since 2003, the organization has annually highlighted different issues of social justice at a National Gathering and Lobby Day in Washington, D.C to create what has become the premier Christian advocacy event in the United States.
I have served in several capacities as a contracted professional with EAD, both on a volunteer and paid basis.
Worship Coordinator (2008-2011)
I facilitated regular meetings of a diverse volunteer group associated with worship for EAD’s annual National Gathering which routinely drew together over seven hundred participants. My work involved coordinating and preparing all the activities related to worship in collaboration with a volunteer group of representatives of various Christian traditions in the organization. Tasks included preparing printed and digital worship aids, coordinating art and environment for worship in the space, planning music for liturgy and worship in coordination with worship music professionals, and coordinating volunteer participants in the various aspects of the worship experiences.
These tasks were performed on a volunteer basis with an extremely limited budget for supplies and preparation. The direction and production of this effort routinely took approximately 180 volunteer hours per calendar year.

Website Coordinator / Communications Strategist (2010-2019)
I produced and oversaw all aspects of reconfiguration and content on previous iteration of the organization’s website. As part of organization’s re-visioning effort at the time, I proposed development of a brand and website project that would help meet the overall strategic communications vision focused on promoting a local and national interactive support structure for the lobbying efforts of EAD and its sponsor organizations, and better integrate social media and yearly theme brand imagery into the organization’s promotional efforts. After 2011, my independent contract with EAD was incorporated into my work with the team of Perisphere Media. We have provided ongoing strategic visioning and implementation for EAD in a virtual format in 2020 – 2023.
